Taxi booking is an easy process in Singapore. With taxi booking so easy, it’s a great way to get around the city state. Singapore is a small nation so you can easily traverse the city and see all of the most popular spots over the course of a short stay! Today we have an interesting article about the Singapore taxi driver’s life!
1. They carry an empty bottle
It’s not hard to work out what this is for. Because of Singapore’s strict toilet rules, it often makes more sense for the drivers to take a pee in the spare bottle when they feel nature’s call.
2. Three types of Passengers
Apparently Singapore has three types of passengers. The first being those folk who use a taxi on a daily basis. These people do not like using the bus on metro system. These are obviously the favorite of any taxi driver.
The second are the rushed crowd. There is nothing worse for a taxi driver than having to deal with a passenger who keeps telling them to speed up.
The third are the folks who don’t know where they are going. Usually tourists, these passengers are very annoying to transport as they keep changing their mind about what it is they want to visit!
3. They don’t make lots of money
A common myth is that Singapore taxi drivers make 7 thousand a month. This just isn’t true. Unless they are driving 24 hours a day of course!
4. Short Lunch Breaks
Taxi drivers are like this all over the world. They don’t get long for lunch, most of them simply eat their food on the side of the road and get back to work after 30 minutes or so!
5. No show
A Lot of people who book taxis in Singapore disappear when the taxi arrives. Usually they just jump in a taxi who happened across them earlier. It’s unfortunate and annoying!
