Reading Program Mission, How To Join Us & Other Stuff

Thera-Pits mission is to help our communities public school system by bringing Dogs and Children together through alternative learning programs.
The Thera-Pits team is made up of all volunteers and their registered Therapy Dogs. We offer different programs based on your particular class needs, be it a reading program, dog safety education, or general therapy to help stress levels and keep kids calm.
We are currently working with North Ridgeville city schools and have a large amount of requests in the City of Cleveland inner city schools. To set up a visit please contact us by filling out THIS FORM.
To inquire about setting up a Thera-Pits branch at your local school in your state, please email rowdy2therescue@gmail.com until we post more information for you online.
We know that schools are going through tough budget cuts and are proud to say that this is a FREE program to the schools.

I work with students who have a variety of disabilities, ranging from autism to specific learning disabilities. The students not only enjoy reading to the dogs but are able to read without being self-conscious of their disabilities…
